Romain Ferla leads the Competition team of Weil Paris. Romain has significant experience in EU and French competition law matters, including merger control, cartels/abuses of dominance, and advising on distribution agreements, joint ventures, state aids. In merger control, Romain works both as counsel to purchasers, as counsel to sellers and as counsel to complainants. Major recent matters include advising Bain in the EU merger control procedure relating to its acquisition of Inetum, Ardian in the EU merger control procedure relating to its acquisition of Odealim, SRS Group on the French merger control procedure relating to its acquisition of several Almaviva clinics, Arrowhead on the French merger control procedure relating to its acquisition of Bihr, Chequers on the French merger control procedure relating to the sale of Altema to Sigefi, Sienna and CNP on the EU merger control procedure relating to the acquisition of ECT, Advent on several merger control procedures relating to the sale of Cobham Aero Communications to Thales, and Corsair in several EU state aid approval procedures.
