Ron Dimock, a partner in Gowling WLG’s Toronto office, is one of Canada’s leading intellectual property litigators, mediators and arbitrators. He has appeared in many of Canada's landmark patent, trademark, and copyright cases over his 45-year career — including more than 50 trials before the Federal Court and 30 appeals before the SCC and other appellate courts.

For over 20 years, he taught a masters-level IP course at Osgoode Hall Law School

Ron has received many recognitions including being repeatedly listed in the World Trademark Review Global Leaders as well as being ranked as a “Star Individual” for IP Litigation by Chambers Canada. Named Best Lawyers® 2021 Intellectual Property “Lawyer of the Year” in Toronto and one of the "world's top private practice experts in the field of patents" in the 2022 and 2023 editions of IAM Global Leaders.

Ron was inducted into the LMG Hall of Fame for Life Sciences Lawyers.
