Career
Sai Yeang is the Head of the firm's Dispute Resolution practice group, having been in practice since 1991 and a partner since 1997. In her long career at the Bar, she has appeared frequently in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Court. Her foundation in litigation was built on banking, in which sector she continues to represent clients with aplomb. Other areas of experience are in real property, corporate disputes, receivership and insolvency. It is noteworthy that Sai Yeang has been sought after as an adviser to receivers and liquidators - for example, she and her team were retained to advise the insolvency administrators over the Malaysian assets of Wirecard Sales International Holding GmbH as well as the Liquidator of PappaRich Group Sdn Bhd. The latter brief included advising on the disposal of the insolvent company's assets in several jurisdictions.
Despite her heavy caseload, Sai Yeang finds the time to serve the Malaysian Bar in various committees as well as being a trainer in the Bar Council’s Advocacy Training courses.
Sai Yeang has been well-ranked as a litigator by Chambers & Partners Asia Pacific.
