Sophie undertakes a broad range of commercial work in litigation and arbitration both as sole counsel and as part of a team. She has particular expertise in contractual disputes, banking and fraud cases arising from her involvement in Aston Martin MENA Ltd v Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd, Jinxin Inc v Aser Media Pte, Skatteforvaltningen v Solo Capital Partners LLP, Marex Financial v Sevilleja (Supreme Court), Edgeworth Capital (Luxembourg) Sà rl v Aabar Investments PJS, S&P Global v Deutsche Apotheker and Dar Al Arkan v Al Refai. Sophie also has substantial experience in conflicts of laws and jurisdiction matters (both from her postgraduate studies and from cases she has been involved in) and various interim injunctions. Sophie is fluent in French, German (native) and Luxembourg (native), which has led to her being regularly instructed in cases which utilise her language skills. Sophie can provide advice in any of the languages she speaks. Sophie has provided expert opinions on English law for use in foreign proceedings. In 2023, Sophie was appointed to the Attorney General’s B Panel.
