Career
Tim started his career at the Bar in general and financial crime before moving into financial services and professional regulation. He represents professionals in proceedings before numerous regulators, both at first instance and in appellate proceedings in the High Court and Court of Appeal as well as in NHS proceedings and in Social Care cases before the First Tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal. Tim continues to work in financial services regulation representing clients in FCA proceedings and in accountancy regulation. Tim regularly represents legal professionals in SRA, IPReg and CLC proceedings as well as in Contempt of Court proceedings. In his Inquest work Tim appears on behalf of medical professionals, NHS Trusts, corporate organisations, social care providers and other Interested Persons. Tim’s data protection work concerns advising corporate bodies, commercial businesses and public sector bodies in relation to data protection requirements under the Data Protection legislation. Tim represents clients before the Information Tribunal and in the appellate Courts. Tim regularly appears in proceedings before the Football Association, Rugby Football Union, International Paralympic Association, British Cycling and the British Horseracing Authority and he advises sporting clubs in numerous other sports.
Tim advises schools and Universities in relation to employment and disciplinary policies and internal investigations and has acted as an independent panel member in numerous internal disciplinary processes.
