Career

Bill guides clients through all aspects of litigation, licensing, and counseling on intellectual property matters. An experienced trial lawyer, Bill has served as lead counsel on multiple patent, trademark, and other intellectual property cases in federal courts and before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). Bill previously served as an attorney advisor to Chief Judge Paul J. Luckern at the ITC, giving Bill deep knowledge of ITC strategy, practice, and procedure. Bill chairs the firm’s Specialized Litigation Department and is a member of the firm’s Management Team and Policy Committee.

Bill litigates cases involving a wide range of technologies, including hardware and software for medical equipment, semiconductors, digital imaging, gene sequencing equipment and processes, subsea equipment, telecommunications and networking, automotive components, consumer electronics and fiber optics.
