With over 28 years of experience, Anil Kasturi specialises in Mergers & Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, General Corporate and Private Equity. Anil has extensive experience in advising international and domestic clients, including multinationals, private equity funds and venture capital companies on all aspects of corporate and commercial law. He has experience in handling public takeovers, M&A transactions (both inbound and outbound), private equity investments and exits, joint ventures, complex restructurings, as well as private client practice. Anil’s clients span a range of sectors, including manufacturing, retail, media and broadcasting, telecommunication, insurance, healthcare, hospitality, infrastructure, education, and real estate.

• Max Group on its (i) Sale of Max Healthcare to KKR and Radiant Life Care Private Limited through a composite scheme involving a merger and demerger; (ii) Sale of a minority stake in Max Life Insurance by Max Financial Services to Axis Bank creating a joint venture between both parties in the life insurance space; and (iii) Swap of shareholding held by Mitsui Sumitomo in Max Life Insurance for shareholding in Max Financial Services in a deal valued at USD 585 million
• Warburg Pincus on its (i) acquisition of a controlling stake in Imperial Auto Industries; (ii) acquisition of a minority stake from Tiger Global and other existing shareholders in ANI Technologies Private Limited; (ii) acquisition of a controlling stake in Parksons Packaging Limited; and (iii) sale/swap of shareholding of stake held in Bharti Telemedia into Bharti Airtel Limited in a deal valued at USD 430 million
• Bain Capital on its (i) investment in CitiusTech; (ii) acquisition of 24.99% in IIFL Wealth in a deal valued at US$ 500 million; (iii) buyout of Lonza Specialty Ingredients in a deal valued at US$ 4.2 billion; and (iv) minority investment in Axis Bank in a deal valued at US$ 1 billion
• Bharti Group on the (i) purchase of Singtel’s stake in Bharti Airtel in a deal valued at USD 1.6 billion; and (ii) investment by Google in Bharti Airtel in a deal valued at USD 700 million
• Motherson Sumi on its complex internal restructuring involving the demerger of their domestic wiring harness business and merger of their residual auto component businesses, resulting in two publicly listed companies
• Brookfield on its acquisition of solar power assets of Emami Group
