With over 16 years of experience, Varoon Chandra heads the Capital Markets practice. Varoon has extensive experience in international and domestic capital market transactions, including issuance of foreign currency convertible bonds and global depository receipts, Indian initial public offers, rights issues, and qualified institutions placements. He also advises on securities regulations issued by the Securities and Exchange Board of India.

• YES Bank Limited on its restructuring under Section 45 of the Banking Regulation Act, including a private fund raise of approximately USD 1.3 billion and a follow on public offering of approximately USD 2 billion

• Reliance Industries Limited on its rights Issue of approximately USD 6 billion

• Housing Development Finance Limited on its Qualified Institutions Placement of approximately USD 2.3 billion

• ICICI Bank Limited on its Qualified Institutions Placement of approximately USD 2 billion

• BSE Limited with respect to its Initial Public Offering of USD 186 million, awarded ‘Deal of the Year’ by the India Business Law Journal (2017)
