Hwang Hwa Sim is the Global Head of Capital Markets of Linklaters. With over 20 years’ experience covering Asia, he has extensive experience on the full range of debt, equity and equity-linked products in China and across the Asia region.

Hwang Hwa is particularly known for his market leading expertise in equity-linked products (especially highly structured and cross-border convertible bonds and exchangeable bonds), hybrid securities, offshore bond (including structured bonds) issuances by major Chinese companies, ESG financing structures, panda bonds and structured pre-IPO investments. He is the “go-to” person for issuers, underwriters and investors on complex and highly innovative fund raisings and principal investments in the Asian region.

Hwang Hwa also regularly advises alternative capital providers, global investment banks, special situations groups, hedge funds and private equity funds on their proprietary investments in the Greater China region.

Hwang Hwa is a member of the Legal Experts Working Group for China’s National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors (NAFMII). He is recognised as a leading individual in China/Hong Kong Debt Capital Markets by Chambers and Legal 500.
