Sherry is a leading practitioner with over 12 years’ extensive experience in international capital market transactions. She was promoted to partner in 2019, and was the first native Chinese partner in our team.
Her expertise covers a wide range of products, including investment grade debts, high-yield bonds, MTN programmes, regulatory capital and perpetuals, equity-linked bonds, credit-enhanced and structured bonds, panda bonds and liability management.
Sherry has developed key relationships with China’s principal government organisations, financial institutions and leading SOEs and private enterprises, as well as leading international investment banks.
Sherry has also actively participated in market developments and developed collaborative relationships with many Chinese regulators and industry bodies. For example, Sherry has participated in expert consultation groups of the PBOC and the National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors (“NAFMII”) on the development of the panda bond market and has written consultation papers on subjects at the requests of PBOC. In 2017, Sherry was also among a select number of lawyers nominated for the Rising Star award at the Finance, Euromoney Legal Media Group Asia Women in Business Law Awards.
