Jason is the National Co-Leader of McMillan’s Construction and Infrastructure Group and a partner in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department. He represents all actors in the construction pyramid in relation to complex construction disputes and transactions, particularly within the P3 and infrastructure spaces. Jason provides advice and representation in respect of cost overrun, delay, deficiency and other disputes in respect of underwater tunnels, biomass plants, prisons, hospitals, light rail systems, highway service stations, electrical power stations and other infrastructure. Through COVID-19, Jason has helped clients navigate through essential service lists, force majeure claims, delay and payment entitlements, health and safety regulations, and other complexities brought on by the pandemic. Jason is a Fellow of both the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers and the Construction Lawyers Society of America and the author of the chapter on Dispute Resolution in the seminal text by Timothy J. Murphy, Public-Private Partnerships in Canada: Law Policy and Value for Money. Jason regularly speaks and writes on managing risk and construction disputes and is a co-chair and on the advisory board for Osgoode’s premier construction programs, including the full week Construction Law and P3 certificate programs.
