Practice Areas
Sharon practices Aboriginal, environmental, regulatory, and governance law focusing on environmental assessments, project permitting, Indigenous relations and self-government, ESG, and crises management. Sharon acts for infrastructure, resource, and agribusiness companies, Indigenous Nations and government agencies. Formerly, she worked in commercial, legal and a HSEC capacity with an international mining company.
Career
Admitted to the Victoria (AUS) and Western Australia (AUS) bars, 2007; British Columbia bar, 2015 and New Brunswick bar, 2018.
Personal
Sharon is a founding member and the Vice-Chair Policy of the Business Council of BC's Next Leaders Council and a member of the Business Council of BC's Aboriginal, Environmental, and Community committees; the Association for Mineral Exploration's Aboriginal Relations, and Land Access and Use committees; and the Mining Association of Canada's Environment, Aboriginal Affairs and Science Committee. She is a senior policy advisor to the Mining Association of British Columbia. Sharon is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and is the secretary of the Aboriginal Law section. She serves on the board of EasyPark.
