Career
Margaret (Meg) Campbell is a shareholder in the Atlanta office and has practiced employment, litigation, and labor law at Ogletree Deakins since 1981. An all-around labor and employment lawyer, Meg is particularly recognized for her expertise and experience in complex class and collective action litigation, whistleblower investigations and litigation including Sarbanes-Oxley and Dodd-Frank cases, appellate practice, and restrictive covenant law. Meg has litigated single plaintiff, multi-plaintiff, and class and collective action jury and non-jury cases in federal and state courts around the country. Clients regularly seek her client-centered practical advice and innovative solutions for preventing and mitigating risk events arising in the workplace. In addition, Meg assists clients in sensitive and complex investigations of alleged improper conduct by high-level executives.
Over more than 35 years of practice with Ogletree Deakins, Meg has served the firm in a number of roles, including as its first General Counsel, and has served two terms on the firm’s four-member Board of Directors. She currently serves as global co-chair of the Ethics Compliance and Whistleblower Response Practice Group. She has served on the Class Action Practice Group steering committee, the firm’s Women’s Initiative (ODWIN), and the firm’s Advisory Committee. Since 2017, she has served as the firm Ombuds.
