Parthsarathi Jha (Parth) is a Partner in the Competition Law & Policy and International Trade & Customs practices of ELP.
Parth has worked on matters primarily focused on trade-remedy investigation (anti-dumping and safeguards), mergers and acquisitions, private equity and general corporate. He has also advised clients on merger control and competition/antitrust issues. He has represented clients in several anti-dumping and safeguard investigations across various sectors including chemical, Petro-chemicals, pharmaceuticals, steel, electronics and automobile. He has also advised clients in connection with corporate transactions involving stock and asset, exit and sale of stocks, formation of joint ventures in a wide range of industries, including chemicals, aviation, healthcare, food, education and tourism. This experience includes drafting and negotiation of transaction documents, legal due diligence, assisting clients on regulatory compliance including merger control filings.
Parth has authored various publications on competition law, including “Supreme Court Verdict in CCI v SAIL: Setting the Ground Rules for the Commission and the Appellate Tribunal” published in CPI Antitrust Journal.
Parth is co-chair for the FICCI’s Committee on Foreign Trade and Trade Facilitation.
