Since obtaining his law license in 1987, Qi Zhou has been deeply involved in the legal industry for over 30 years. In 1995, he took the helm in establishing the East & Concord Partners. As the Director of the law firm’s Management Committee, Qi Zhou handles the legal matters while being accountable for the administration and delegation of vital issues.

Qi Zhou has honed his legal expertise in the domain of commercial arbitration, focusing on a diverse range of investment and corporate disputes, as well as financial and parallel financial disputes.

In addition to his role as a lawyer, Qi Zhou has been invited to serve as an arbitrator for esteemed organizations such as the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, the China Maritime Arbitration Commission, the Arbitration Center Across the Strait, the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, the Hainan International Arbitration Court, and the Qingdao Arbitration Commission. As a senior arbitrator, he has successfully resolved hundreds of diverse arbitration cases and is widely respected and renowned in the industry.

In addition to his dispute resolution practice,Qi Zhou has also achieved remarkable results in non-litigation areas. He has provided legal services for the establishment and operation of several foreign-invested enterprises, including but not limited to Pingshuo No.1 Coal Co., Ltd., Beijing Jeep Co., Ltd., Mcdonald’s Foodstuff Co., Ltd., Philips (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Nestle (China) Ltd., and Beijing Matsushita Color CRT Co., Ltd.

Notably,Qi Zhou has been invited to share his vast knowledge as a part-time professor at both the Law School of China University of Political Science and Law and the Wuhan University School of Law, where he has lent his expertise to guide and instruct students in coursework and practical application.

Zhou has taken a large number of important and complex commercial litigation and arbitration cases as a lawyer; Moreover, as a senior arbitrator of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, Zhou has involved in hundreds of arbitration cases of various types.

Zhou has provided legal services for lots of companies, including ConocoPhilips, Microsoft, BHP, Tishman Speyer, Standard Chartered Bank, Lafarge, CITIC Group, China Resources, State Development and Investment, Sinosteel, China National Agricultural Development Group, and COSCO Shipping, and gained widely recognition.
