William defends and prosecutes high profile criminal cases of immense seriousness, complexity, sensitivity and notoriety.
As a highly regarded Prosecution Counsel, William specialises in legally complex multi-defendant homicides, serious fraud, drugs and historic sexual offence cases, where he utilises his meticulous preparation and eye for detail.
William applies the same skills when defending. He is recognised for his characteristically robust, but equally sensitive and sympathetic jury-friendly advocacy and client care.
William’s recent cases include the 2024 prosecution of a multi-defendant murder which resulted in the largest number of convictions for murder in a West Midlands Police investigation since the mid-70s and the defence of one of South Wales’ most notorious murderers.
Recent fraud cases include the prosecution of a three-trial, multi-defendant complex international £26m money-laundering fraud. William also advises companies and individuals on a wide range of criminal and regulatory matters.
For over 20 years William has been and continues to be an advocacy trainer.
He has also been interviewed and featured in a number of ‘true crime’ television documentaries.
