Christina Hioureas is a Partner in the firm's International Litigation & Arbitration Department and Chair of the firm’s United Nations Practice Group.

Christina serves as emergency, sole and co-arbitrator in international arbitrations, including under ICC, UNCITRAL, LCIA, ICDR, and AAA rules and is a CEDR-certified mediator.

In her capacity as counsel, Christina represents States, private and State-owned entities, and individuals on international commercial and investment arbitration disputes (ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC, ICDR, AAA, LCIA, SIAC, SCC, and Swiss Rules) and public international law matters and advises States on matters before the United Nations.

She is experienced on matters involving the Balkans, the Mediterranean, Western Europe, the Caucasus, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America. She has experience representing and advising small-island developing States. Her arbitration experience ranges from mixed-use projects and construction matters to energy supply and pricing – convention and alternative energy (power purchase, sale and purchase, EPC and offtake agreements), franchise, technology and shareholder disputes.

Christina is an appointed U.S. member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration & ADR, elected Council on Foreign Relations (Term Member) and American Society of International Law Executive Council member.
